Bruges Belgium
The city of Bruges, Belgium was found back in the 9th Century by the Vikings and today is now considered to be the finest medieval city in all
of Northern Europe. Along with its cobbled streets, there is much to be seen as you wander down these.
The centerpiece of one of the squares that you will find dotted around the city is the Gothic Town Hall. Which at night as with many of
the cities other medieval buildings are illuminated at night. So if you really want to stand in awe at these beautiful structures then it
is advisable to wander around the streets at night and stop at one of the many bars or restaurants for some refreshment.
As well as the cities beautiful architecture there are plenty of things to do and places to visit during your stay. If you come for a
visit mid week then take time out to visit the main Market Square where each Wednesday is market day. Here you can try some of the local
delicacies and even sample a few of the local beers as well.
But if you find yourself becoming tired with all the walking, you have done then why not take a horse drawn cab ride around the streets
instead. These are to be found in the city's main square and depart from there on tours on a regular basis. In fact, you may find
that one visit to this beautiful city is not enough and you may find yourself returning to it again and again.
