Brussels Breaks

When you do a search on the internet for Brussels breaks, you will soon find numerous countries offering various package deals.  Many of these package deals will cover you for two nights stay in a good quality hotel located within the heart of the city.

As well as the hotel accommodation, some may well offer you the facility of a Brussels card that allows you access to reduced rates on Brussels public transport.  Moreover, if you are interested in visiting any of the museums that the city has you may well find that entry to these is completely free.

There are numerous ways of arriving in Brussels, but from the UK, the most popular way is by travelling on Eurostar.  This train service leaves regularly from the new London St Pancras International Station and arrives in Brussels just over 2 hours later.  Then it is only a 10-minute walk to the heart of the city if you wish.

During your visit to the city, why not spend some time wandering the streets situated around the Palais des Nations and take a look at the architecture.  Although there are still many medieval features to be found, it is more famous for its art deco and art nouveau architecture today.

But if you find yourself lagging as you wander around the streets there are plenty of restaurants and bars that you can stop and pass the time in.  If the weather is a little chilly then why not stop for a warming cup of hot chocolate and a waffle.
