Eurostar Amsterdam – Travel In Comfort

Eurostar to Amsterdam trains offer you the chance to visit a very dynamic and vibrant city in only a few hours after departing from London St Pancras.  However, in order to reach your final destination you do need to change trains on arrival at Brussels Midi Station.

Once at the station in Brussels you just need to change platforms and board the Thalys train that will take you on to Amsterdam.  The actual time that the total journey will take from the Eurostar train departing from London to the Thalys train arriving in Amsterdam is around 5 hours and 25 minutes.

This journey time is somewhat extended because it takes into account the time required to make the change from the Eurostar train over to the Thalys train in Brussels.  But even so this journey is considerably shorter than if you were to fly to Amsterdam directly.

The great thing about travelling to Amsterdam by train using the Eurostar service is that you only need to check in about 30 minutes before the actual train departs for Brussels.  Where as if you choose to fly you need to be at the airport around 2 hours prior to flight departure.

As well as the time, you spend at your departure point being much shorter but also the whole checking in procedure is much easier.  Unlike airport check in you, have far less security checks that you are required to go through.  So travelling Eurostar to Amsterdam is not only less stressful but you will find it far more enjoyable as well.
