Get a Taste of Something Different With the Eurostar to Bruges

Take a break to see what Bruges has to offer in a holiday when you travel on Eurostar Bruges. This city has often been called Venice of the North, with unique architecture and is in fact a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can take the Eurostar to Bruges from London or Brussels and delight in the relaxing atmosphere of the journey. When you decide to take a break from London, the Eurostar for Bruges leaves the St. Pancras International Station. From here you will take the London Bruges train that travels at a speed of 186 km per hour to Brussels. Since Eurostar does not actually go to Bruges, you will change trains in Brussels to take the regular Bruges train operated by the Belgian National Railway. The journey from London to Brugges takes just over 3 hours and this allows for the change of trains in Brussels.

Once you arrive by train in Bruges, the station is only a fifteen-minute walk from the center of the city. There is also a bus terminal just outside the station if you prefer not to walk. You will certainly want to use this service on your return to the train when you are loaded down with packages from shopping.  You can also choose to travel to and from Bruges train station by taxi.

There are many exciting adventures waiting for you when you take the Eurostar to Bruges from London. With more than 50 bridges and quaint cobblestone streets, you will think you are in Italy rather than Belgium. The Barge Bridge is a sight to behold with its reptilian shape painted in a vibrant red. Shop for diamonds in all shapes and carat sizes or even return home with some handmade lace. Of course, you can’t leave Bruges without tasting the chocolate truffles, which are to die for.

Once your trip to Bruges is complete, whether you stay for a day, a weekend or a week, you can relax in comfort on the Eurostar as you make your way back to Brussels and then London. The seats are comfortable enough that you can have a nap but if you haven’t had your fill of scenery, you can take it in as you zip along.
