Travel to Brussels

There are many different ways in which one can travel to Brussels today.  You can if you wish fly, but for those leaving from the UK a much more convenient way is by travelling on the Eurostar train.  But along with flying into Brussels, one can also get there by coach or by driving.

Yes the journey is shorter it takes around 55 minutes to get from London to Brussels by air.  But you also have to take into consideration the amount of time you need to check in and also for when you arrive to collect luggage if you have such items with you.

However, on the train you can check in only around 30 minutes before the train departs instead of around 2 hours before the flight departs.  Plus your luggage that you take with you is close to you on the train.  So when you arrive at Brussels Zuid it is just a case of picking up your luggage and heading for the exit.  Then within a matter of around 10 minutes or less, you find yourself in the heart of the city.

Since Eurostar moved, their London base to St Pancras International from Waterloo the journey time has now been cut by around 15 minutes.  So the total journey time from leaving London to arriving in Brussels takes approximately 2 hours 20 minutes.  So as you can see going by train is certainly a lot easier than either flying, taking a coach or driving yourself.
